This webinar aims to educate participants about the Southern Piedmont Climate-Smart Project. This project is growing regenerative agriculture in the southeast. This $25 million project has over $6 million in cash and non-cash incentives for organic and conventional farmers, farmers markets, and market producers participating in the project and located in the Southern Piedmont. Working throughout the Southeastern U.S., we’re partnering with vegetable farmers to adopt farming methods that support the local ecosystem. We’re also helping farmers markets promote the climate-smart crops grown in the study.

At this state in the project, we are still in the process of recruiting conventional and naturally grown/organic farmers. If you can’t participate or aren’t in the Piedmont, but you know someone who is, please reach out to project lead, Dr. Kristie Wendelberger (kristie.wendelberger@rodaleinstitute.org)
