The Biggest Little Farm Classroom

Coming January 2027, a NEW curriculum inspired by the award-winning documentary The Biggest Little Farm.

We have joined forces with American Farmland Trust and FarmLore Films to develop a free, one-of-a-kind educational curriculum inspired by the epic journey of the biodiverse world of The Biggest Little Farm.

This STEM-based, NGSS-aligned curriculum immerses students in th eliving word of ecosystems and agriculture, sparking curiousity and a deeper understanding of how all life is connected. Through inquiry-based, experiential lessons, students explore what it means to live in relationship with our Earth – discovering hope, awe, and their own role as stewards of our planet’s future.

Through this curriculum students will:

  • Explore biodiversity, ecosystems, soil health, and agriculture through the livign systems of The Biggest Little Farm
  • Engage in hands-on, inquiry-based learning that builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ignite a curiousity that fosters exploration and a lasting connection to food and the natural world.

Since its release, The Biggest Little Farm has been distributed in more than 30 countries, has screened at dozens of film festivals, and was shortlisted for an Oscar. However, more important than accolades, the film naturally found its way into classrooms all over the world from secondary through university level.  Now, Rodale Institute, American Farmland Trust, and Farmlore Films have partnered to bring that impact full circle creating an official curriculum, free for schools everywhere, to educate and inspire the next generations of stewards caring for our planet.
