Phoebe Organic Farm
Welcome to Phoebe Organic Farm!
Located at Rodale Institute’s historic Founder’s Farm in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, Phoebe Organic Farm is a joint initiative between Phoebe Ministries and Rodale Institute that grows fresh, farm-to-table food for Phoebe Ministries’ senior residents.
Established in 2025, this new farm produces a wide array of crops for the community to enjoy.
Interactive and Educational
Phoebe Organic Farm provides Phoebe residents with the freshest possible ingredients to boost flavor and nutritional value. Residents interested in learning about gardening and interacting with the farm can participate in farm events, tours, scheduled workshops, and more. Residents of all gardening abilities are invited to participate.
Produce Available for All Residents
While the majority of the produce from the farm is used by Phoebe’s dining staff to create fresh, healthy meals for residents, excess produce is also sold in a marketplace at the Chestnut Ridge campus. The farm’s future goals include expanding to 10 acres of land, forming a public-facing farmers’ market, introducing a chicken coop for egg production, and expanding food crop delivery to more Phoebe campuses.
Led by Agricultural Experts
Farm Manager Jenni Smith oversees farm operations and is thrilled to work with Phoebe residents. With her extensive background and deep love of agriculture, Farmer Jenni is the guiding hand at Phoebe Organic Farm. Along with volunteers and other Rodale Institute staff, she keeps the farm running smoothly.
