A field day rooted in Nourishment Economics for farmers, bakers, millers, and grain lovers.

Join us at Earth Land and Water Stewardship (Earth L.A.W.S.) learning farm and nourishment hub for a lively hands-on grain to table experience.​

Event will be led by Executive Director William “Buck” Johnston and will feature guest speaker Ron Boyd from La Villita Farms. Co-hosted by NM Healthy Soil Working Group, Rio Grande Grain, and Rodale Institute.​

Learn about:​

  • Heritage grain growing and its history in NM​
  • Specialized small scale grain equipment​
  • Organic certified grain and cover crop seed production​
  • And more!​

The event will culminate in a farmer, miller, baker panel to further define and celebrate all things grain.​
Baked goods made with locally grown grain by Rio Grande Grain and lunch will be provided. ​
