Did you know that 1 in 3 bites of food wouldn’t be possible without a pollinator? With honeybee populations on the decline, there’s no better time to learn about the essential role these creatures play in our food system and what we can do to save them.

In this workshop, expert and amateur beekeepers alike can learn to improve the health of their colonies. The class will cover:

  • Honeybee biology and behavior
  • Colony management
  • Equipment
  • Combating pests and diseases
  • Soil health practices that help pollinators

Healthier colonies start with better bees, and raising better bees starts with a holistic understanding of their unique life cycles and work ethic. Join us for this hands-on experience where you’ll get to work with live bees and see inside an operating hive.

Organic Farmers Association members receive 25% off all workshops. If you are a veteran, you may be eligible to attend educational events for free. Please email veterans@rodaleinstitute.org for details.

Online registration closes at 2 PM EST the day prior to the scheduled date.
