The Organic Farmers Association, sponsored by Rodale Institute, is a national membership organization for certified organic farmers and their supporters.
The association provides a strong and unified voice advocating for those who make their livelihood on the land.
Process & Policy
Each year, Organic Farmers Association polls organic farmers around the country. This gives growers and producers the chance to voice the challenges of their operations and to express their opinions on important issues.
Each farmer, no matter the size of their business, gets a vote with Organic Farmers Association on policies affecting organic agriculture. Organic Farmers Association then represents the interests of its members in conversations with key policymakers in Washington, D.C.
No matter the size or type of the farm operation, all farming members pay a flat membership rate and receive one vote. Everyone’s voice is important at the table. Join as a Farmer >
Organization membership is open to groups that are active in and committed to supporting certified organic farmers, farming and food. Join as an Organization >
Supporter membership is open to anyone who wants to champion the cause of organic agriculture, including consumers, students, researchers, and uncertified or non-organic farmers. Join as a Supporter >
While only farm members can vote on policy, all membership tiers receive a subscription to New Farm magazine, 25% off Rodale Institute workshops, and the support of a robust community through social media, forums, and an email list.
