Reading or downloading
We collect and store only the following information about you: the name of the domain from which you access the internet (for example, gmail.com if you are connecting from a Gmail account, or princeton.edu if you are connecting from Princeton University’s domain), the date and time you access our site, and the internet address of the website from which you found our site. We use this information to track the number of visitors to our website and help make the site more user-friendly.
Online profile updates and donations
If you complete the profile update form and share your personally identifying information, we will use it to provide you with more targeted content. We may also use your contact information to send further information about our organization or to contact you when necessary. Use of personal information
If you submit personally identifiable information to Rodale Institute, some information, such as your name and mailing address, may be exchanged with other like-minded, mission-driven organizations. We do this from time to time because exchanging our list with other reputable charitable organizations is the most cost-effective and expeditious way to find new supporters like you who want to help to move our mission forward with the greatest amount of impact.
This applies to all information received both online and offline, on any platform, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. To the extent that any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

You also may decide to send us personally identifying information—for example, in an electronic mail message containing a question or comment, or by filling out a web form that provides us this information. We use personally identifying information from email primarily to respond to your requests. We may forward your email to other employees who are better able to answer your questions. How to manage your personal information and preferences
Rodale Institute strives to give you convenient control of your personal information and preferences. To update your contact information, change your communication preferences, or ask us to not share your personal information, please submit your email address using the form below. We will then send you an email that initiates a simple two-factor authentication process for securely accessing and changing your information.
Children and privacy
For children who visit our site, special rules apply. We do not request personal information about children such as name or address. When a child sends us an email, their online contact information (email address) is not used to re-contact them and is not maintained in retrievable form.
Comments on articles or blog posts
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
