Released in 2019, The Need to Grow addresses the existential question, “How will we continue to feed the world with food grown in dying soil?” While it takes a hard look at how industrial agriculture has effectively destroyed the biology of one of nature’s most precious resources, the film also shines a hopeful light on what some visionaries are doing to cultivate healthy soil and reveals the vital role we all play in supporting better food systems.
