Virtual Coffee Hour: Mid-Large Scale Organic Grain Production in Central Great Plains
- This event has passed.
July 30 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm MDT
The Central Great Plains region is vast and largely rural, with some communities particularly isolated by their geography. To help foster community building and provide technical assistance to farmers Rodale Institute Consulting Services will host monthly virtual “coffee hours” for 6-months. We believe that the frequency, open structure, and small-mid size of the group will be conducive to deep and meaningful conversations.
Who should sign up?
Prospective, transitioning, or already-certified organic grain farmers in Eastern Colorado, Western Nebraska, Western Kansas, Western Oklahoma.
What can participants expect?
Léa Vereecke, organic agronomist based in Colorado, will facilitate the meetings. Participants will be encouraged to share any questions, comments or concerns relevant to organic and organic transition on their farm or in general. The facilitator will ensure that conversations remain focused on organic and transition to organic and introduce more topics as they see fit.
