Join us for an engaging educational event focused on regenerative organic agriculture, soil health operations, and organic tomato production.

This event will also celebrate Piney Woods Farm as the recipient of the 2025 Rodale Institute Organic Stewardship Award in Farming, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the organic farming community. The day will begin with a guided farm tour of Piney Woods Farm, a Regenerative Organic Certified farm located in LaGrange, Georgia. During the tour, Executive Director Jessica Breaux will showcase their regenerative farming practices, composting system, and approach to growing organic tomatoes.

Following the tour, participants will attend two informative sessions covering organic weed management in tomato production and experiences with growing specialty tomato varieties. The educational portion of the event will wrap up with a tomato tasting and fresh tomato sandwiches.

After the learning sessions, we will host a special presentation to formally recognize Piney Woods Farm with the 2025 Organic Stewardship Award in Farming, followed by a community lunch. While attendees are encouraged to stay for the award ceremony and lunch, it is not required, and is separate from the USDA-funded tomato farm tour and workshops.
