Seed Cleaning Facility Tour
In the Northern Tier of PA rests Provident Farms, a certified organic grassfed beef operation run by Father and Son, Dave and Caleb Johnson, sitting on 130 acres of land that’s been certified since 2001. In these past few years, the two have built and began operation of their own seed cleaning facility and willing to share with us this opportunity at the PA Organic Field Day during a session hosted by Rodale Institute and TOPP.
The seed cleaning facility tour is a free event, open to the public and begins shortly after our TOPP funded lunch. Come to the Rodale booth to sign up for the Seed cleaning tour and enjoy lunch.
Prior events are part of the PA Organic field day and have a ticket sale price of $20.00.

Schedule of Events
- 9:00AM — Opening and Welcome, Jonathan Zeiset
- 9:30AM — Vendors and Sponsors: each gets a 5-minute introduction slot
- 10:00AM — Field Demos (weather permitting): farmers and vendors demonstrate equipment in the field
- 11:00AM – Soil Pit Observations
- 12:00PM — Lunch: Pork BBQ and Ice Cream (covered by admittance fee)
- 1:00–PM — Seed cleaning facility tour
- 2:30 -PM Panel discussion on marketing organics & Open discussion on production of organics
- 4:00 PM – Day End
