Event Description:

Organic Gardening 101

March 22, 2014

10 am – 1 pm

It is just March and we are already dreaming of baskets full of freshly harvested tomatoes. When it comes to getting your hands in the soil, it does not matter if you are a beginner or advanced gardener. You know; that antsy feel when the first rays of spring seem to cut through the heavy winter clouds. But, if you are new to gardening, come and join our instructors in this hands-on class that will help you explore all important stages of starting and growing your own organic garden. You will learn about different kinds of raised beds and how to build one of your own, compost, mulch, water needs of different plants, best varieties for your region, insect and disease prevention and harvest practices.

Pre-registration required.
