Rose High Bear (Deg Hit’an Dine, Inupiaq) and Amy Treasure (Siletz) from Elderberry Wisdom Farm will host a field day May 4.

Rose will introduce us to their indigenous farm and native plant nursery, and share updates on their Blue Elderberry orchard, a resilient native to the PNW ecosystem valued for its antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antitumor properties.

Amy will discuss Organic Certification and share updates on her family farm’s organic transition, including a short film of their farm.

Schedule

8:30 – 9:00 AM: Coffee and morning snacks
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Walk and talk about Elderberries and Organic certification
12:00 – 12:30 PM: Lunch
