In this hands-on, in-person workshop, we’ll break down the fundamentals of composting, including what materials to use, how to maintain a healthy compost system, and simple techniques to ensure success at home.

Whether you’re looking to reduce waste, improve your soil, or take a more sustainable approach to gardening, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to get started.

Meet Your Instructor

Jesse holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from William Paterson University of New Jersey. After college, he spent over fifteen years working as a manager in high-volume kitchens and farm-to-table, fine-dining restaurants.

Through this experience, Jesse recognized critical gaps in our food system and became passionate about driving meaningful change. He now serves as a Farm Operations Specialist, focused on improving local and national food systems through regenerative organic agriculture.

Most recently, Jesse has been training as a compost production specialist with Rodale Institute, where he manages the compost yard and ensures production aligns with National Organic Program standards.
