Rodale Institute, in collaboration with Bowhill Blueberry Farm, will host an organic blueberry field day on August 20.

The event will cover topics such as organic pest management, fertility, harvesting, and value-added processes. Farmers and the public are invited to participate in the field walk, discussions, and presentations by experts.

Schedule:

 8:30 AM –   9:00 AM: Coffee and morning snacks
 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Walk and talk about growing blueberries
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Lunch

  • Dr. Louie Nottingham on aphid viral disease prevention
  • David Bryla on Irrigation and nutrient management
  • The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Assoc. on restoring wetlands and riparian waterways in farmland
