Using Trees to Take Pigs & Poultry to New Heights
* Organized by Trees for Graziers
On December 5 join other experimental and insightful pig & poultry farmers at Rodale Institute for a full day of learning together about how to integrate pigs, poultry, and trees into our landscapes to create nutrient-dense foods, beautiful and functional farms, and humane ways of raising livestock.
- Listen as John Arbuckle of Singing Pastures rhapsodizes over alternative feeds to finish pigs.
- Tour Rodale Institutes’s organic pig operation.
- Dig the dirt from panel of producers on tips that have made the biggest differences in their operations.
- Check out techniques and genetics Trees For Graziers has incorporated into recent plantings.
Let’s learn together how to take monogastric production to new heights using trees for shade, fodder, and crops full of protein, energy, and micronutrients. Let’s go beyond grass and grain into the world of tree crops for non-ruminants.
