Are you ready to jump-start a career in organic agriculture?

The Organic Farming Certificate Program is a yearlong, accredited program offered through a partnership between Delaware Valley University and Rodale Institute. Learn everything you need to begin your own small-scale organic farm or go to work for an organic operation.

Complete track

Students spend two semesters at DelVal and a summer at Rodale Institute. Through both classroom learning and in-the-field experience, this program equips students to meet stringent USDA standards for organic agriculture through in-depth courses on topics including principles of sustainable agriculture, soil biology, and plant health.

Flexible track

Students are welcome to take courses at DelVal either part-time or full-time. The Rodale Institute curriculum must be completed in one summer on-site in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

Credits from the program can also be used towards a four-year Sustainable Agriculture Systems degree at DelVal.

Delaware Valley University is proud to be a Yellow Ribbon Program school with dedicated resources and support for those who have served in the armed forces.
