DESCRIPTION:Wild Hope Farm is one of the Southeast’s leading USDA Certified Organic farms\, offering year-round diversified produce and cut flowers\, selling through multiple regional wholesale distributors\, farmers’ markets\, and a CSA program. \nFarmers Ben\, Mary\, and Peanut give a guided tour of the farm and walk participants through what it takes to scale up in the fields and the pack-house. They offer insights from their experience using riding versus walk-behind tractors\, considering field layout\, row spacing\, and cultivation\, adding haygroves to their high tunnel production\, and post-harvest practices to ensure wholesale readiness. \nKim facilitates a discussion with regional organic buyers about what it takes to move high-quality organic products successfully.
