SUMMARY:SE TOPP Regenerative Organic Farm Tour & Learn
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging educational event focused on regenerative organic agriculture\, soil health operations\, and organic tomato production. \nThis event will also celebrate Piney Woods Farm as the recipient of the 2025 Rodale Institute Organic Stewardship Award in Farming\, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the organic farming community. The day will begin with a guided farm tour of Piney Woods Farm\, a Regenerative Organic Certified farm located in LaGrange\, Georgia. During the tour\, Executive Director Jessica Breaux will showcase their regenerative farming practices\, composting system\, and approach to growing organic tomatoes. \nFollowing the tour\, participants will attend two informative sessions covering organic weed management in tomato production and experiences with growing specialty tomato varieties. The educational portion of the event will wrap up with a tomato tasting and fresh tomato sandwiches. \nAfter the learning sessions\, we will host a special presentation to formally recognize Piney Woods Farm with the 2025 Organic Stewardship Award in Farming\, followed by a community lunch. While attendees are encouraged to stay for the award ceremony and lunch\, it is not required\, and is separate from the USDA-funded tomato farm tour and workshops. \nAgenda\n·       8:30 AM – Welcome: De’Anthony Price/ Jessica Breaux\n·       8:45 AM – Farm Tour: Jessica Breaux\n·       10:30 AM – Cover Crop Trial in Organic Tomatoes: Bharat Sharma Acharya\, PhD/ Blake Morris\n·       11:15 AM – Tomato Variety Trial at UFO: De’Anthony Price/ Khadejah Scott-Price\n·       11:45 AM – Tomato Tasting\n·       12:00 PM – Award Presentation and Lunch \nRegistration\n\n\n \n \n URLThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email*\n \n Phone NumberState*AlabamaAlaskaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingOutside USZip/Postal Code*Farm or Organization NameI am a...*\n \n \n Farmer/ Producer\n \n \n \n Processor/ Handler\n \n \n \n Buyer\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nCompleting this form signs you up for electronic communications from Rodale Institute.
