This field day is designed for farmers interested in exploring organic production\, heritage grains\, and new market opportunities. \nWhy Ventura County?\nVentura County is one of the most important agricultural regions in the United States. Yet according to the Environmental Working Group\, more than 32 million pounds of toxic pesticides were used on county farm fields between 2015 and 2022. \nRegenerate Ventura is working to support farmers who want practical\, chemical-free alternatives that protect soil health\, farm viability\, and long-term agricultural resilience in the region. \nWhat Farmers Can Access Through Regenerate Ventura\nParticipating farmers may receive: \n\nTechnical assistance for regenerative organic transition\nMarket connections for organic heritage grains\nQuarterly field days and peer learning opportunities\nFinancial support up to $60\,000 for equipment and materials related to organic production (funded through the CDFA Organic Transition Program)\n\nEvent Highlights\n5:00 PM – Field Demonstrations \n\nMobile seed cleaning unit demonstration\nSmall grain mill demonstration\nLocal millers discuss market opportunities for organic heritage grains\n\n6:00 PM – Dinner & Program Overview\nEnjoy a locally prepared meal featuring organic ingredients and heritage grains.
