DESCRIPTION:Early Season Weed Management and Bed Preparation Workshop | Hosted by Chispas Farm and Rodale Institute\nJoin Chispas Farm and Rodale Institute for a morning of speakers and demonstrations on bed preparation for small-scale growers\, including double digging for soil remediation and stale seed bed preparation. Learn about different tools to use and philosophies on bed prep and reducing weed pressure in the early season. \nGeneral Agenda: \n\n8:45-9am – Arrive\, grab a breakfast burrito and coffee\n9-10am – Introductions and Farm Tour\n10-11am – Double digging bed preparation with Anita Adalja Ashokra Farms\n11-12pm – Stale seed bed preparation with Becky Hume from Johnny’s Seeds\n12pm – Lunch and resource sharing\n\nThis is a free workshop\, but space is limited.
