SUMMARY:Webinar: Rotational No-Till Series\, Part 2: Let’s Talk About No-Till “Regenerative” Agriculture (Live Q&A)
DESCRIPTION:Farmers across the country are adopting no-till practices at an astonishing rate\, fueled in large part by several popular books and resources. While there’s no doubt a reduction in tillage is beneficial for soil\, water\, and microorganisms\, is it possible that we may have over-corrected slightly? Can tillage be a part of a healthy system\, or is it destined to disappear forever? And are “regenerative” operations really what they say they are? Join us to learn a little more about the most recent research surrounding tillage and stick around for a live discussion after the presentation. \n\nCompleting this form signs you up for electronic communications from Rodale Institute. SUMMARY:Webinar: 40 Years’ Research Update of Rodale Institute’s Farming Systems Trial (FST)
DESCRIPTION:Established in 1981\, the Farming System Trial (FST) of Rodale Institute is the longest running side-by-side comparison of organic and conventional grain production systems in North America. Knowledge generated by this trial has influenced farmers\, researchers\, and policy makers and facilitated the adoption of organic and regenerative agricultural practices in the U.S. and around the world. In this webinar\, Dr. Yichao Rui\, the Director of FST\, will comprehensively introduce the research conducted in the trial in the last 40 years\, and highlight the latest research findings since 2008\, when “no-till” and “tilled” comparison was introduced to both organic and conventional systems. \n\nCompleting this form signs you up for electronic communications from Rodale Institute.
