SUMMARY:Organic Field Day and Mixer in Arkansas
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an organic field day at the University of Arkansas Vegetable Research Station from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm followed by an Arkansas Grown Organic Buyer/Seller Mixer at 4:30 pm. This event brings together farmers\, buyers\, and manufacturers from across the state to engage in meaningful discussions about strengthening Arkansas-grown organic products and expanding opportunities within our local and regional markets. Through open dialogue\, field insights\, and relationship-building\, we’ll explore how to better support one another across the supply chain — from seed to shelf. \nWhether you’re growing\, sourcing\, distributing\, or developing Arkansas organic products\, this Buyer Tour and Mixer is designed to spark new partnerships\, share innovative ideas\, and shape the next chapter of agriculture in our state. \nCome network at our Mixer at 4:30 PM at Fort Smith Brewing Company in Fort Smith. \nThis event is for organic farmers\, those transitioning\, and those who are curious about organic production\, and organic buyers. SUMMARY:GOOD GRAIN Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Rodale Institute for a screening of GOOD GRAIN with filmmaker Jared Flesher & NOFA NJ on February 25\, 2026 at 6 PM. \nImagine: Next door lives a hardworking organic farmer. Each summer you watch majestic fields of wheat mature from green to gold. And then the harvest. \nAt a new stone mill down the road\, a miller grinds the farmer’s wheat into whole grain flour\, sold just days old at the local market. At a small bakery on Main Street\, a sourdough baker sells artisan loaves. At the corner pub\, a craft brewer pours pints brewed with local ingredients. \nIt all tastes amazing. \nOnce upon a time\, American communities were centered around their farmers\, millers\, and food artisans. GOOD GRAIN is the comeback story of the local grain movement\, as found in New Jersey\, the original Garden State. \n\nAbout the Filmmaker \nJared Flesher is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose short and feature films explore a wide range of environmental subjects. Jared has been called “New Jersey’s leading environmental documentarian” by the NJ Society of Professional Journalists. He was the recipient of an Artist Fellowship for Film & Video from the NJ State Council on the Arts in 2024. In 2022\, his film Pine Mud won the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Documentary. \nJared is a former editor of Edible Jersey magazine\, and has contributed reporting to news outlets such as the New York Times Online and Wall Street Journal Online. He regularly creates multimedia content for the Princeton University Office of Sustainability. \nThis gathering is designed to bring together farmers\, millers\, brewers\, buyers\, and other supply-chain partners from both sides of the Delaware River to connect\, share insights\, and explore opportunities for collaboration. Lite bites and refreshments will be provided. \nDetails\nDate: February 25\, 2026\, 6 PM \nStay for a Q&A with filmmaker Jared Flesher and Scott Morgan\, Owner/Operator of Morganics Family Farm in Hillsborough\, NJ \nLocation:\nRodale Institute Theater\, Pennsylvania \nCost: FREE \n \nRegistration\n\n \n \n GOOD GRAIN Film Screening\n Register for our 2/25/2026 GOOD GRAIN Film Screening. 6 pm EST. \n \n \n LinkedInThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email*\n \n Phone NumberState*AlabamaAlaskaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingZip/Postal Code*Farm or Organization NameI am a...*\n \n \n Farmer/Producer\n \n \n \n Processor/Handler\n \n \n \n Buyer\n \n \n \n Other\n This field is hidden when viewing the formHIDDEN Lead Status\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n This work is supported through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP).
