Angela & Keith Krem started Kremmer's Community Kitchen with a mission to support the community food system by providing affordable, quality food service solutions that positively impact the lives of their clients and ultimately the communities in which they live.
Kremmer’s has been a continuous supporter of Rodale Institute’s Agriculture Supported Communities program, since its start in 2012. Through subsidizing shares, Kremmer’s helped the ASC program get its feet off the ground and reach its goals. As both organizations have grown and expanded over the past half of a decade, so has our partnership.
Kremmer’s has recently started to offer a prepared meal service that provides healthy and affordable meals fit for people’s “on the go” lifestyle. "Meals on the Fly" delivers meals right to your door and prices range from $5.99-7.99 per person.
Kremmer's has partnered with Rodale Institute to offer "Meals on the Fly" Farm-to-Table specials. Each meal is 100% organic and packaged in oven/microwave safe compostable packaging and $1 from every meal benefits Rodale Institute. Every Friday, the Krem family, along with hockey players from the U-12 team Keith coaches, visit the farm and work alongside the ASC interns to harvest fresh produce for their meal kits. This week one of the kids, said “If I don’t make it into major league baseball, I’m going to be a farmer.”
The Krem's love the opportunity to take part in harvesting the fresh organic produce that goes into their meal kits and educating their children about farming and food.
