Farm yoga, anyone? Rodale Institute is pairing up with Raquel Hightower of Nurturing through Nature to offer three seasonal yoga events designed to soothe mind, body, and soul and promote healing through nature. Each session will start with a 60-minute beginner yoga class followed by a light refreshment and discussion. The group will then spend some time in quiet contemplation while participating in seasonal volunteer work and taking a peaceful stroll of the farm. Lastly, participants will wind down with a 30-minute meditation and sound healing session.
Participants should bring a yoga mat, appropriate shoes for work on the farm, and a reusable drinking container.
Please note that this is a rain-or-shine event that will take place outside in ideal weather or light rain; in case of hard rain, the event will be held in Rodale Institute’s theater, located next to the Garden Store.
Attendance limit: 40 people
Cost: There is no fee for attending this event, but Rodale Institute and Nurturing through Nature welcome donations. Contributions toward this season's classes will help fund Rodale Institute's Honeybee Conservancy, which is dedicated to researching colony collapse disorder and finding ways to aid the health and well-being of honeybees, so vital to the nation's food supply.
