Stop by anytime from 11am–4pm to partake in our special Earth Day activities. \nActivities & programs include: \n\nLive music provided by Out of the Orchard\nSmoothies\, bowls\, sandwiches\, and more for purchase from Blendlife Food Truck\nRodale Institute Mobile Market selling organic veggies straight from our fields\nHandcrafted products from local vendors\nPlant sale\nKids activities (seed starting\, seed bomb making\, bug hotel project\, scavenger hunt)\nPick up a “Pesticide Free Pledge” yard sign\n\nActivities\, food & music will take place at the Rodale Institute Visitor Center. Visitors are encouraged to explore the rest of the farm with our self guided walking tour. \nThere is no admission fee for this event. \nVolunteers: please arrive at or before 1 1:00 AM. DESCRIPTION:Families and kids of all ages are invited to trick-or-treat in costume at the Visitors Center and enjoy Halloween-themed activities\, including a scavenger hunt and fun fall crafts! \nTo promote social distancing\, families/groups can sign up for an hour-long time slot. Each time slot will max out at 8 individuals\, whether that consists of 1 group or 4. DESCRIPTION:Cancelled!\nThank you so much for your interest in this year’s Earth Day at the Farm. Unfortunately\, due to the spread of COVID-19\, and in accordance with Pennsylvania’s recommendation to suspend gatherings larger than 10 people\, we are cancelling the event. We hope to organize another volunteer day later this year\, but in the meantime\, we encourage you to get outside on your own. Garden\, go for a walk\, pick some wildflowers — and we hope to see you soon! \nJoin Rodale Institute to celebrate Earth Day by volunteering at our 333-acre organic research farm! Begin with a tour of the farm\, followed by jumping in with our farm team to help prepare for the upcoming growing season. Activities could include planting\, weeding\, caring for animals\, and more! Snacks and beverages\, as well as gardening supplies for purchase\, will be available at the Rodale Institute Visitor Center. Please dress for the farm and don’t forget your gardening gloves! \nThere is no admission fee for this event. Space is limited\, pre-registration is required. \nPlease arrive at or before 1:00 PM.
