Visit

Welcome to the Rodale Institute!

Come on out and visit us at the farm! For more than 60 years, we have scientifically researched, documented and shared the benefits of organic food for human and environmental health. And we have always had an “open gate” policy.

We invite you to enjoy yourself and discover our work while strolling through the 333 acres of our multipurpose farm. Visit our Garden Store located in a historic one-room schoolhouse where we specialize in books, organic plants and compost, eco-friendly gardening supplies and gifts and treats from local artisans. Sign up for a hands-on workshop or a farmer field-day to dig into the details of growing good food. Join us for one of our festivals as we throw open all the doors, let our hair down and pull on our fancy boots for a family-friendly good time! Or, feel free to take off on your own and walk the farm. Audio tours and printed self-guided tour booklets are available from our Garden Store.

From farmers to eaters, educators to community leaders, old and young, there is something for everyone at the farm. As you walk through the fields of grains, orchards and gardens, you are actually a witness to history in the making.
