We are now offering a qualitative soil test at the Rodale Institute so you can quickly assess the life in your soil for $40 per sample.

This approach is most useful to generally determine whether levels of bacteria, fungi, protozoa or nematodes are extremely low, low but within a workable range, at reasonably good levels, properly balanced levels, high or extremely high levels. The report you receive back includes total bacterial biomass, total fungal biomass, active protozoa, and total nematode populations. Morphological diversity of bacteria, fungi and protozoa is included with an assessment of beneficial versus less desirable types of organisms as well.

STEP ONE:
Print out and complete a submission form for the samples you want to have tested. Note: Be sure to include method of payment; samples will not be processed without payment.

STEP TWO:
Follow the instructions included with the submission form.

STEP THREE:
Deliver in person or mail your samples to Rodale Institute per instructions.

STEP FOUR:
Results will be sent back to the e-mail or postal address given on the submission form within three to four weeks.
