Rodale Institute, Viking Pure, LLC and Air Cycle Corporation join forces to help the environment through using electrolyzed water, instead of chemicals, as cleaning agents.
(Kutztown, PA, July 31, 2012) – On August 1, 2012, Rodale Institute will begin the sale of the Rodale Institute CDS, a revolutionary, Non-Toxic/Green system that cleans (C), disinfects (D) and sanitizes (S) making this the most environmentally responsible, safest and most efficient cleaning/sanitizing system.
Rodale Institute CDS utilizes only salt, water and a small charge of electricity to transform the ions in water into two safe solutions. Within the unit, chloride ions are converted into Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), a sanitizer with a kill time of just seconds, while sodium ions are transformed into Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), an alkaline solution used as a grease cutter and cleaner. Both are completely safe for animals, humans and the environment. “I have been in business for over 40 years and I have never been involved in product that can revolutionize the agricultural industry, all while creating a safer environment for the workers, animals and consumers, like this product,” said Walter Warning, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Viking Industries.
The Rodale Institute CDS, distributed exclusively by Air Cycle Corporation, is currently being used at the Institute’s neighboring organic dairy farm in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. “This system has revolutionized our neighbor’s organic dairy operation” said Executive Director Mark “Coach” Smallwood. “Not only is it a completely safe product to have around his dairy herd and his family, each month this farmer saves hundreds of dollars since he no longer needs toxic cleaning chemicals.”
The product is approved for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration/U.S. Department of Agriculture (FDA/USDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in the Food, Hospitality, Healthcare and Agricultural industries with the applications ranging from home use to industrial use. OMRI certification is pending.
Rodale Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to pioneering organic farming through research and outreach. For more than sixty-years, the Institute has been committed to researching the best practices for organic farming and sharing findings with farmers and scientists around the world, advocating for policies that support farmers, and educating consumers about how going organic is the healthiest option for people and the planet.
