Organic produce more nutrient packed

Mounting evidence is showing that choosing organic not only means decreased exposure to pesticides, it also means more nutritional value.
 A UC-Davis study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry revealed that organic tomatoes contained twice the flavonoids as conventional tomatoes. According to the same study, researchers have been working to breed crops with higher levels of flavonoids because these compounds are known to fight age-related diseases.
 
Tomatoes are the second-most eaten produce in the U.S., outranked only by potatoes.
