Executive Director. The Resource Conservation
District of Monterey County (RCD) is currently seeking applications
for a highly motivated, self-directed and enthusiastic Executive
Director to oversee all aspects of District operations. The Executive
Director will be the direct liaison with the Board of Directors
and serve as the face of the District with the agricultural, regulatory
and environmental communities and the public at large. Applicants

Agroecology Internships at the W.K. Kellogg Biological
Station. Avaliable summer 2008 positions include Research
Experience for Undegraduates (REU) positions researching perennial
wheat. Also available is an Integrated Food System internship, which
involves growing food for the cafeteria at the research station.

Hilltop Hanover Farm seeks market garden interns
to work alongside the farmer growing vegetables, herbs, and fruits,
while providing educational experiences for visitors. Additional
opportunities to take on management, research, and educational roles.
Farm experience is not required, but interns should be enthusiastic
to learn about farming, food, and eco-agriculture. The positions
are paid hourly, 35-40 hours a week from April to October (shorter
internships are available), with weekend hours on a rotating basis.
