Farm Photo Friday: November 8, 2013

Every Friday we share some snaps from our 333-acres in Kutztown, PA. Our photographers? The staff members who keep this farm chugging along. Enjoy a sneak peek at what’s going on here at Rodale Institute!

The weather is starting to become a bit blustery on the farm!  Erica and Amy of the ASC team are on their way to bring some vegetative biomass to the compost area.

Here we have Don & Kenny, visiting from the Baltimore Free Farm here at Rodale to build a new greenhouse.

Altogether, the Baltimore Free Farm brought 5 people for the greenhouse project, including Don and Kenny who we met in the photo above, but also Tarryn, Billy and Ted.  They certainly have their work cut out for them!

It’s quite clear that Heather here has a solid handle on this whole hoop house building business, wouldn’t you agree?

However, Heather can’t do this all alone (and really, no one could).  So Cynthia, Sam and Erica are here to help the process along.

Erica works hard to see that the donkeys, Irwin (left) and Mr. Tuggs (right), are happy and healthy.  They appreciate that and show her that the feeling is mutual.

To anyone who has never eaten freshly picked broccoli sprouts, it can be a life changing experience.  Shawn shares some sprouts, and an important lesson, with this deeply grateful photographer.

Don’t forget…Share the organic love!
