McDonalds UK to measure greenhouse gas on 350 beef farms

McDonald's UK will pilot a measurement tool for on-farm greenhouse gas emissions, then target lowering them via “natural farming" and logistical efficiencies.

The work will be done by The Eco2 Project, a rural consultancy and energy auditing company, and accredited by The Carbon Trust, a U.K. government body.

So far, McDonald's has no similar tests planned in other global markets.
