SLIDESHOW: (Post)harvest Festival

Norine Black of Black’s Heritage Farm and family grow sweet corn, pumpkins, tomatoes and squash for restaurants and grocery stories in Ames and Des Moines, and market vegetables at three farmers markets. In her presentation, she focused on the need for continuous vigilance for improvement in food safety, hygiene and product quality outcomes of postharvest handling.
