Union of Concerned Scientists cites Rodale Institute soil fungi research as ‘Solution in Action’

In “Climate 2030: A National Blueprint for a Clean Energy Economy,” the Union of Concerned Scientists lays out a strategic plan to address climate change policy issues. The plan makes the most of environmental resources while focusing on the initiatives’ technological feasibility.

The UCS says policy must put a price on global warming emissions as it promotes carbon-responsible ways to produce what society needs. The report devotes a big chunk of their agriculture example to beneficial role of micorrhizal fungi identified by USDA research work done at the Rodale Institute over a period of years.
