Organic ag group, Ohio State author organic transition manual
Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association, in collaboration with university researchers in Ohio, have created a manual to ease farmers' transition to organic production. A Transition Guide to Certified Organic Crop Management demystifies the federal guidelines for organic crop production and provides advice on meeting these standards.
The guide is the only one of its kind in Ohio, and is one of only a few in the country. Development and production of the guide was made possible by a grant from USDA's Integrated Organic Program - a program which includes the Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative and the Organic Transitions Research Program.
