Biosolids could be raising dioxin levels

Scientists have found that the long-term application of biosolids to crop lands could lead to dangerously high dioxin levels in food. As dioxins move through the food chain, they bioaccumulate and could be harmful to human health. Continuing research will determine whether dioxin levels are significantly different in crops grown on land treated with biosolids. Full story: Eurek Alert!
