Composting in close quarters

Outdoor composting can be a difficult and tedious (not to mention smelly) task. Despite the hassle and since home composting can divert tons of waste from landfills per year, some indoor boxes have gained in popularity. According to April Streeter, the NatureMill indoor bin is not a perfect solution to those problems. While it requires some maintenance and can be noisy, the upside, according to one review is that “it does take out a lot of yuck factor of having compost going, and makes it a lot easier to compost during the winter.” Full story
