Whopper and a side of spies

It’s one thing when corporations use their corporate heft to blunt the efforts of activists demanding cage-free meat, better farmworker treatment or more organic/locally sources/grass-based offerings on the menu. It’s quite another when they employ shady outside “security” firms to perform undercover surveillance against social-action groups with no history of violence and no indication that they want to do anything more than fight for better food and a better world. Eric Scholosser says it’s time to have corporate leaders who cross the line to state their case to the public as to why, and how, this is a good idea. Full story
